Kocohedron Jewellery
Studio Willem Schouten and Koen Coppens teamed together under the name of Kocowisch to create a delicate series of jewellery for man and woman. Inspired by the duality of both the simplicity and the complexity of mathematical wireframes, the pendants, cuff links and studs are a mathematical marvel to the eye. A classic shape reinvented, the shapes embody timeless elegance and are a refined mix of industrial minimalism and sophisticated handwork. As simple as a shape can be, its wireframe plays tricks on the eye, making it either complex or simple when viewed from different angles. The Jewellery is made using the ‘lost wax casting process’; A 3D printed positive model in wax is covered in a ceramic coating, which is then heated to melt the wax, leaving a hollow mould to be filled with molten silver. After cooling, the pendants are polished and, as wished, gold plated in either 18-karat gold or 14-karat rose gold. All jewellery is numbered and come with a certificate of authenticity.
